Abstract

A series of 5 unique films begun in 2008 completed in 2012 under the working title 'Mythus'. In these filmic fragments are images of dreams, memories and visions. The body of work is an encounter with the processes of a medium that has now evolved technologically, where silver technologies and the attendant associations with light, time and the referent, are changing. The images are intended to be constructed spaces where the purpose is to create a dialogue with the unconscious and its associated relationship with the mysterious as opposed to an overt and empirical reading of the work.
