Research is centred on the distribution, feeding, growth and life-cycles of the fauna of open coast and estuarine habitats, and involves long-term studies on a range of species. Emphasis is placed on the study of recruitment patterns of benthic populations with the aim of determining the impact on population dynamics of key species, including those of commercial importance.
