Description
Join the Ports, Past and Present team at the Liffey Corner Room, CHQ, Dublin between 6pm and 8pm on August 16th for a celebration of 12 creative commissions, ranging from poetry and story-collecting, to radio script, sculpture and ceramics, animation, photography and film. Combining thought-provoking words and images, these works reflect the richness of life on, beneath and beside the waves through time. The artists involved in the exhibition are: Rua Barron, David Begley, Zillah Bowes, Gillian Brownson, Kathy D’Arcy, Jon Gower, Robert Jakes, Julie Merriman, Peter Murphy, Augustine O’Donoghue, Marged Pendrell, Hannah Power, Peter Stevenson and Jacob Whittaker.A buffet-style reception will be followed by spoken word performances by Peter Murphy and Gary Brown, and by showings of short creative and documentary films.
This is just one of the events being held throughout Heritage Week in Dublin.
