Part of an experimental artists' bookwork which explores an alternative 'psychographic' approach to creative visual research through considering responses to patterns, traces and residual forms as opposed to looking at examples of the same. It is an attempt to liberate and empower young creative thinkers and makers to shift from familiarity. We have developed an alternative approach to photographic image making and the bookwork will contain a series of photographic plates that collect traces of presence, four original short texts a series of artworks embedded into the texts. The book will be launched at the new Towner Gallery, toured with the Centre for Fine Print at UWE. It will be an artwork and will not be sold for profit although original copies will be donated to a number of academic libraries and research centres.
